WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Two Rivers Country Club, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, is hosting the 13th Annual Two Rivers Senior Invitational on October 22-24, 2023. The 54-hole medal play event includes three divisions: Seniors (ages 50 to 64); Super Seniors (ages 65-69) and Legends (ages 70 and over).

A full field of top senior amateur golfers will be competing on the Tom Fazio designed course that winds through The Governor’s Land residential community and finishes along the banks of the James and Chickahominy rivers. This year’s invite-only field is limited to 72 contestants who were selected by the Two Rivers Senior Invitational Committee based on WAGR and VSGA rankings. This year’s golfers include top players from 10 states with an established handicap index of 6.0 or less.

Notable Senior players this year include Steve Serrao from Richmond, Va., who was the 2021 Champion and is currently ranked as the No. 4 player in the VSGA Senior rankings. Other notable players include Sherrill Britt from Southern Pines, N.C., who is the No. 4 ranked senior golfer in the Carolinas; Kent Erdahl, a Two Rivers Country Club member who was the 2018 champion in the Senior Division and will be a top contender again this year; and David Partridge, who is returning to defend his 2022 title in the Super Senior Division and is currently ranked the No. 1 Super Senior golfer in Virginia.

In the Legends Division, George Washburn was the champion in 2017 and 2019 and will be a favorite once again this year. Mike McDonald, who was a long time Two Rivers Country Club member before moving to Iowa, was the 2009 champion in the Senior Division, the 2018 champion in the Super Senior Division, and returns this weekend to also try and add the Legends Division Championship to his impressive resume.
