For many reasons, 2020 was certainly a challenging year. However, we would like to highlight some of the positives that we experienced over the past year at The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers — and believe it or not, there were quite a few!
For starters, we were thrilled that Williamsburg was voted No. 1 in Southern Living Magazine’s “South’s Best Small Towns” for 2020. Our charming college town, noted for its “living history” with Colonial Williamsburg and variety of unique restaurants and shopping all surrounded by plenty of natural beauty, helped our city get the top spot!
The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers also had the privilege of hosting several golf tournaments in 2020, including the Society of Seniors Jack Hesler Tournament in July and our own 10th Annual Two Rivers Senior Invitational in October.
Other notable events from 2020 include the the addition of our four new designated pickleball courts and a photo shoot to capture updated images of our spectacular waterfront club, community, and amenities! We introduced our new public website with updated content and photos as well as enhancements to the backend of the site for a more user-friendly experience for our online visitors!
Last but certainly not least, this year has been a record year for home sales within our community. We have welcomed many new members/residents to our community and look forward to them being a part of The Governors Land at Two Rivers family!
We are excited for a successful and healthy 2021!
