Tournament hosted full field of 72 top senior players from 12 different states on Oct. 25-27
Two Rivers Country Club, located in Williamsburg, Va., recently hosted the 10th Annual Two Rivers Senior Invitational on October 25-27. The scheduled 54-hole medal play event was trimmed to a 36-hole event after Sunday’s round was rained out. There were three divisions competing: The Seniors ages 50 to 64; Super Seniors ages 65-69; and Legends ages 70 and over.
Mike McGuire of Powell, Ohio won the Senior Division with a one under par score of 143 (70-73);
Anthony Donatoni of Malvern, Penn. won the Super Senior Division with an even par score of 144 (72-72)
and Johnny Blank of Frostburg, Md. won the Legends Division with a one over par score of 145.
A full field of 72 top senior players from 12 different states challenged the wet conditions and fast greens on the Tom Fazio designed course that winds through The Governor’s Land residential community and finishes along the banks of the James and Chickahominy rivers.

“We had a wonderful event with the largest and strongest field of golfers in our 10-year history,” said Two Rivers’ PGA Golf Professional Chris Warring. “The course was wet due to the excessive rain but the greens were very fast and helped provide an excellent challenge to the players.”
The winners and top finishers in each division received gift certificates to the Two Rivers Pro Shop and are also awarded points on the GolfWeek national ranking program and the VSGA ranking program (if the player is a Virginia resident).
