Governor's Land | Blog | Giving Thanks to Our Members at The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers

We are overflowing with gratitude at The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers! With Thanksgiving on our minds, we can’t help but thank our members for making our hidden gem of a neighborhood a country club community of distinction.

As a home to a beautiful mix of families and retirees, we see members of all backgrounds pursuing their passions while making lasting friendships in the process. Whether you’re finding fun through our first-class amenities or getting on top of your game at our 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course, The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers is thankful to be able to provide something for everyone to enjoy – no matter the season.

There’s a reason why our welcoming, one-of-a-kind community feels like a permanent paradise with unmistakable character. Our members are the heart and soul of our private, waterfront community and never turn down an opportunity to connect with one another. For our team, the greatest satisfaction comes from the joy we see at our community events, especially those surrounding the holidays.

This year, Thanksgiving at Two Rivers Country Club is going to be big and buffet-style! We’ll be dishing out your favorite foods to feast on from noon to 5 p.m. Executive Chef Tony Rizzo and his team are serving up classic Thanksgiving cuisine, like cranberry sauce and roasted tom turkey, as well as seasonal vegetables and specially selected desserts. If you’re feeling too stuffed afterward, you can always walk off what was on your plate with a trip down the 10 miles of scenic walking trails that wind through our 200-acre Nature Preserve along the banks of the James River. Or you could go back for seconds — just some food for thought.

If you broke the wishbone and won, would your wish be to join in on the fun festivities at our private, member-owned community? We can help make your dream a reality.
