Oh say can you see all of the exciting events we have planned for the Fourth of July? Whether you prefer watching fireworks on the water or wearing red, white, and blue on our greens, The Governor’s Land at Two Rivers has scheduled two days full of fun festivities to celebrate our country’s 246th year of independence.
Before picking up the sparklers, grab your clubs and head to our Tom Fazio-designed championship golf course for our member-only Firecracker Open! Our top-rated course in Williamsburg, VA invites our members to wear their stars and stripes and hopefully score an eagle while spotting our national bird soaring over the nearby James and Chickahominy Rivers in honor of the upcoming holiday.
Get ready to fly your flags on Monday as we host our Independence Day Parade beginning at Founder’s Way. Be sure to work up an appetite before heading to the Osprey Bar & Grille between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch — with carry-out and pool service options available. Don’t forget to grab something to cheers with from The Osprey Bar and Terrace Bars anytime before 9:30 p.m.
Once you’ve filled up on food and drinks, be sure to stop by our Family Fun on Park West Lawn from 3 to 7 p.m. for free, family-friendly activities! Not only can you expect to hear a spirited set from DJ Eric, but you’ll be able to receive patriotic pieces from our face painter and red, white, and blue balloon creations. Not to mention, Independence Day-themed inflatables that everyone is sure to enjoy.
Forget your blanket and basket! Our Fourth of July Picnic is set to start at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. — serving up special selections to snack on while listening to live music performed by our musical guest, Soul Intent.
The grand finale of our Fourth of July festivities is sure to be explosive. Our fireworks extravaganza will light up the sky from 9:30 to 10 p.m. for those on land and 7:30 to 10 p.m. for those watching from the water. Catch our sparkling show from our deep-water marina or while setting sail on the Chickahominy River with other members.
