School age children attend Matoaka Elementary, Hornsby Middle, and Jamestown High School - all highly ranked schools built within the last 20 years. Ranked #24 of Virginia high schools by U.S. News & World Report in 2016, Jamestown High School offers 19 Advanced Placement courses as well as a full slate of athletic, arts, and service activities.
Beyond high school, the College of William and Mary is a rich resource for Williamsburg residents. Consistently named a “public Ivy” at the undergraduate level, it also offers prestigious graduate programs in law, business, and education – some of which are tailored to working adults who want to advance in their current career or start a new one.
The College also hosts a vibrant lifelong learning program, the Christopher Wren Association. Each semester, approximately 1400 adults take courses on a wide range of topics taught by distinguished volunteers.
In sum, outstanding educational opportunities abound for residents of all ages!
