Farmers’ Market

The Farmers Market in Merchants Square is a great place to shop or just stroll. Every Saturday morning from April through October, 40 vendors offer locally grown or produced items that range from fresh seasonal produce to flowers, baked goods, honey, jams, cheeses and other artisanal options.

In 2016, a national contest sponsored by American Farmland Trust (AFT) found the Williamsburg farmer’s market to be one of the highest-rated farmer’s markets in the country. It took fourth place in all categories, which included People’s Choice, Focus on Farmers, Healthy Food for All, Pillar of the Community and Champion for the Environment.
