Tournament is hosting a full field of 72 top senior players from 12 different states.

Two Rivers Country Club, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, is hosting the 10th Annual Two Rivers Senior Invitational on October 25-27. The 54-hole medal play event includes three divisions: The Seniors (ages 50 to 64); Super Seniors (ages 65-69) and Legends (ages 70 and over).

A full field of 72 top senior players from 12 different states will be competing on the Tom Fazio designed course that winds through the Governor’s Land residential community and finishes along the banks of the James and Chickahominy rivers.

All three 2019 Champions are back to defend their titles including Keith Decker (Martinsville, Va.) in the Senior division; Jim Woodson (Richmond, Va.) in the Super Senior division and John Blank (Frostburg, Md.) in the Legends division. Decker has been one of the top players in Virginia for more than 35 years. He is a member of the Virginia Golf Hall of Fame and is currently leading the GolfWeek national rankings for seniors.

Other top ranked players expecting to contend this year include Craig Hulbert from Magnolia, Texas, and Dave Pulk, a Two Rivers member from Williamsburg in the Seniors; John Armstrong from Frostburg, Md. and Bob MacWhinnie from Pittsburgh, Penn. in the Super Seniors and George Washburn from Frederick, Md. and Fred Clark of Mobile, Ala. in the Legends.

Two Rivers is following all COVID-19 safety procedures and the golfers will each have their personal golf carts, which limited the field to 72 golfers. In addition, face masks will be required in the Clubhouse and all precautions are in place for food and beverage.

“We are delighted to have our largest and strongest field of golfers ever for the Senior Invitational”, said Chris Warring, Two Rivers’ PGA Golf Professional. “The course layout, spectacular course conditions and the warm hospitality of the Two Rivers members and staff are the reasons this event has become so popular. The October weather is also a positive and we are all looking forward to a wonderful event.”

The winners and top finishers in each division will receive gift certificates to the Two Rivers Pro Shop and be awarded points on the GolfWeek national ranking program and the VSGA ranking program (if from Virginia).
