Two Rivers Hosts The First Tee 4th Annual Kid-Am!

Ferguson and The First Tee of the Virginia Peninsula partner to bring this charity golf tournament to Two Rivers Country Club, Williamsburg, VA on Friday, June 14. The family friendly event has 18 foursomes, each paired with a standout golfer from The First Tee of  Virginia Peninsula. All funds raised go to providing scholarships in all areas of the program. Even challenged with extreme weather conditions, Two Rivers dedicates the resources to keep the course in superb condition. Read the Virginia Golfer Nov/Dec cover article featuring Superintendent Brent Graham’s and his staff’s tireless work to keep Two Rivers in top playing condition.  In September players at the Senior Open of Virginia raved about the terrific conditions at Two Rivers.

Two Rivers Senior Invitational Golf Tournament

Top golfers from 10 states competed in Two Rivers Senior Invitational October 7-9 with three divisions.

TRCC Member Mike McDonald won the Super Seniors division besting 9 other golfers age 65-69.

Member Kent Erdahl shot 3 sub-par rounds to win the Senior division (25 competitors age 50-64).

In the Legends division, Member Bill Flanders tied for first place among 17 golfers age 70+.

Players hailed from California, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Anticipating New Winners at the 2018 Club Championship

Which Members will be our 2018 Club Championship winners? The reining Men’s and Women’s Two Rivers Champions are not playing this year creating opportunities for new trophy holders!

Being held August 24-26, both the men’s and women’s championship flights play at scratch (no handicaps) while all other flights will stroke off of the low ball in the pairing. The format is individual match play with players grouped in flights of 8 based on handicap.

Dave Pulk, Men’s Club Champion for the last few years, will be participating in the US Senior Amateur Championship August 25-30 in Eugene, Oregon which is why he will not be defending his title. Dave – we’ll be rooting for you!

Chris Warring, PGA Golf Professional, said the field is filling up for the three-day tournament which concludes with the awards dinner on Sunday night.

Two Rivers Country Club hosted VSGA 12th Annual Senior Open

Two Rivers Country Club hosted VSGA 12th Annual Senior Open Sept 7 and 8.

The course was in fantastic shape and was the scene for some terrific play that came down to the wire. Buck Brittain entered the final round tied for the lead and went on to win with a one-stroke victory. Read more.

Golf Season Kick-Off Event

Don’t miss out on our opening day golf tournament this Sunday, April 2. The format is a modified shamble beginning at 1 p.m.

All four team members will tee off on each hole. The team will select two drives. The team will break into teams of two with each pair playing from the selected drives. Each player will play their own ball from this point and the team will record the best net score from each of the pairs. The golf shop will pair the field to create equal teams. Couples will be paired together.
