2017 marks the 19th Annual Men’s Charity Tennis Tournament consisting of local males 45+. Play by 24 doubles teams starts Friday, October 6 at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. on the Two Rivers clay courts. Attendance is free for spectators. A silent auction with 40 items begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 4:05 p.m. and is open to the community as well. The silent auction will be followed by an Award Ceremony and presentation of a check to Hospice House.
Middle Peninsula Insurance & Financial Services has generously sponsored this event all these years in support of the life and work of Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg – the exclusive beneficiary.
Contributions from the tournament have grown from $4,000 in 1999 to $46,000 in 2016 for a total contribution of $776,500 to Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg over the last 18 years.
In the event of inclement weather, the tournament will be held indoors at William & Mary’s indoor McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
